10 “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say,
‘You must worship the Lord your God
and serve only him.’”
11 Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.
As soon as Jesus had this last exchange with Satan in the desert, the enemy left. How many times are we faced with a challenge or question and we draw a great big blank? It’s not until we draw upon the Word of God will the enemy give up. It’s like taking a test. Many walk away once it’s over and retain very little to reference. We may have passed the test, but it is all useless information if it’s not put to use.
I’m challenging myself to pray the scripture more. I find that when I pray scripture, I’m more emboldened to pray with certainty and confidence that God’s Word will come to pass for myself and my family.
Start digging up those treasures and promises concerning marriage, children, prosperity, peace–whatever promise you are believing in your life and watch the enemy slink away in fear and frustration.
(Note: Today is actually day 4 of our reading and I will always write a day late).
